Yapalong can be used in many applications where there are two or more people working as a group and must communicate clearly at any moment, such as builders on the roof to team members on the ground, cable installation, small group coaching, and hunting. Ski school or dance instructors can observe technique from a distance and give calm, immediate feedback to students as they are gliding away. People in a clean-room or high risk bio-laboratory who are fully masked and protected can use Yapalong to overcome the communication barrier.
Currently, in private ski school lessons, the instructor gives brief instructions, then the student practices – skiing further and further away. No feedback can be given until the student stops and the instructor skis along side. Time is wasted on waiting to catch up with each other instead of learning. Improvement is impeded by physical distance.
Yapalong is not limited to 2 – 4 users. Listen-only units, available soon, can be added upto practically any number in the group. This application is especially useful for tour groups of 10 - 50. In a museum guests often must strain to hear the guide over adjacent tour groups. Tour guides with Yapalong 3000 can provide listen-only units to their guests. In this way, guests can walk from exhibit to exhibit while listening to up close and personal commentary as though from their own personal guide.
